HEALTHY TIP: SOFTEN - Many of us have a difficult time recognizing when our bodies are stressed because most of us reside more in our heads. Try sitting back in your chair, closing your eyes and start to “soften” your body, starting at the hips. Take several deep breaths while you are softening. All these suggestions are ways to keep your awareness in your body, help you remain grounded, and exist in a place of calmness and centeredness – no matter what else is happening in your life. As you become more aware of stress in your body, you will be more able to take steps to relieve it.
